The rain didn't arrive until dusk. I think over in the east we got the best of it today B4 the front slid across the country.

I took the afternoon off work, knowing full well that there would be no wind this weekend. And that the lake wouldn't be too busy as 50ish of the clubs members + partners are all off to Dahab on Monday! And nobody really wants to risk damage, pain or a cold B4 they jet off to a hot bath in the red sea where you can sail with no wetsuit at all.

The wind was quite good. I guess I was a little underpowered on 4.7, but as the afternoon wore on it was more suited. My jumps were good. My gybing no so good. I had to really focus on leaning in to get round properly. The gusts were huge sometimes you'd get one and accelerate really fast: 0-30 in a couple of seconds - it felt like - ...

I did one jump, pushed the nose down and caught the windward rail and the board did something weird and I really twisted my ankle. OUCH!

The chop was great. Up the west-end on port the "waves" were 2' at times. Brog is quite good on a Southerly as the fetch is nearly a mile, which is enough to make good chop.

PaulM - you are mad - 7m...... go and see a psychologist fast..... B4 its too late.
